We’re proud to offer this rare collection of seed-grown Japanese Maples, each with its own unique character, colour, and growth potential. Unlike grafted varieties, these trees are grown from seed, meaning every one is genetically distinct — a true one-of-a-kind.

This seed-grown maple stands tall with a strong, upright single trunk measuring approximately 1100mm high. It features a few smaller offshoots branching from the base, ranging between 500–700mm, giving it a balanced, vertical form with early signs of structural interest. The foliage is striking — predominantly a vibrant red, with several leaves displaying beautiful variegation through the centre, blending tones of burgundy, green, and soft brown. A unique and colourful tree with standout seasonal interest.

Japanese Maples are deciduous trees, which means they lose their leaves in autumn and winter. As the seasons change, the foliage will naturally begin to turn brown and crisp before dropping entirely. This is a normal and healthy part of their cycle. During winter, the trees will be bare, but this is actually the best time to plant. Cooler conditions reduce stress and allow the root system to settle in and establish, setting the stage for strong, healthy growth when spring arrives.
