Rose Banksia Alba (Banksia Rose)
Rose Banksia Alba (Banksia Rose)
Rose Banksia Alba (Banksia Rose) is a stunning climbing rose known for its tight clusters of small, full, double white blooms. This vigorous and healthy-growing plant, when left unchecked, can grow into a massive specimen, covering fences and even growing into trees. With thornless long canes, it thrives with minimal pruning—light pruning or no pruning at all is recommended to preserve the flowering buds.
This rose only blooms once in spring, with occasional clusters appearing in late autumn, making it a striking feature in any garden during its flowering period. Rose Banksia Alba has been recognized for its remarkable size, with one specimen in Tombstone, Arizona, becoming the world’s largest rose, with a main stem reaching 30 cm in thickness and rambling canes that cover a pergola of 600 m².
